Story
In the early hours of May 31 and 7 June, our amazing adventurers will set off along the Llanberis Path, with the goal of making it to the summit for Sunrise. Through the day it is a challenge, but under the cover of darkness and with the moon and stars as a backdrop, it is an altogether different experience.
They will all be raising money and awareness for PKD Charity.
As a charity, we play a vital role in supporting and advocating for the 70,000 people in the UK who suffer with the incurable disease.
We do this in a number of ways:
Since 2000, when the charity was formed, we have invested thousands of pounds into ground breaking research into the development of new treatments to slow or prevent PKD progression, reduce pain and improve quality of life.
We also host support groups and events throughout the year to provide unwavering support and resources for our community. Whether they need information about managing the condition, emotional support from people who truly understand, or advocacy for research and treatments, we are here for them. These gatherings provide a vital sense of belonging and reassurance, reminding everyone that they are not alone in this journey.
