Story

A video made by the team over the January 2025 Strathpuffer event. The riders with their support team raised over £11,000 here on JustGiving for The Archie Foundation. This page is closed for donations now but our next fundraising events are to support Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance.

Strathpuffer is the legendary 24-hour mountain bike endurance event held each winter near Contin in the Highlands of Scotland. Brave mountain bikers Andy Pearce, Donald Macpherson, James Fletcher, Steve Pratt, Jamie Carcary, Drew Graves, Jim Higgins, Laing Anderson, Jonathan Laing and Jonathan Coats were members of three teams in the January 2025 event. Some of the bikers with their support team:

Team sponsors were IV10 Cafe Bar Deli and IDM Energy with thanks to The Anderson Hotel, Fortrose.

Friends of the team, Kenny and Maru's 12-year-old daughter Alma was diagnosed with a rare spinal tumour in May 2024. Read an article at the Ross-shire Journal.

The Archie Foundation has been one of the charities supporting Alma on her long journey through surgery and chemotherapy, both at the Highland Children's Unit at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, and at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital. We're enormously grateful for any donations, which will help families in similar circumstances.
