Team IV10 biking for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance

Mountain bike and cycling · 27 April 2025
Team IV10 are a mountain bike and cycling club based in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland, founded in Fortrose in 2024. Our team is made up of a passionate group of riders and crew, ranging from casual cyclists to dedicated competitors.
We had a fantastic start in 2025 by raising funds for The Archie Foundation while taking part in the Strathpuffer, the legendary 24-hour mountain bike endurance event held each winter near Contin in the Highlands of Scotland. Now we’re ready to take on a new challenge in support of another great cause - Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance plays a critical role in saving lives and delivering emergency care to remote and rural areas, making it a charity close to our hearts. We’ve set up this page to gather donations and keep it active throughout the year as we tackle various events, with the grand finale being the Strathpuffer. You can follow our journey as we compete and raise funds, all while bringing together friends, colleagues, and cycling enthusiasts for a great cause.
We’ll be participating in events such as the eTape Loch Ness on 27 April 2025, 10 Under The Ben mountain bike event in Fort William on 14 June, and the Strathpuffer in January 2026. We’re grateful to our generous sponsors, IV10 Cafe Bar Deli (Fortrose) and IDM Energy (Inverness) whose support has been instrumental in making all of this possible.
Team IV10 consists of Andy Pearce, Jim Higgins, Drew Graves, James Carcary, Donald MacPherson, Duncan Scott, James Fletcher, Johnny Coats, Jonny Laing, Keith Davies, Stewart Lackie, Rhoda Kennedy, Mendel Wilson, Stewart Lambie, Laing Anderson, Paul Kennedy, Andy Hince, Kenny Fraser, and Steve Pratt. Together, we ride to make a difference!
Thank you for visiting our page, and we appreciate any support you can give to help us fundraise for SCAA. Every donation counts and goes a long way in helping this vital service continue its life-saving work. Let’s ride together for a better cause!
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service. They rely on public support to keep flying and responding to time-critical emergencies wherever they occur in Scotland. No one in Scotland should die because help can't get there in time. With your support, they can be there when people need them.
The riders with their support team raised over £11,000 here on JustGiving for The Archie Foundation at the January 2025 Strathpuffer event. Read an article at the Ross-shire Journal and watch a video made by the team:
Friends of the team, Kenny and Maru's 12-year-old daughter Alma was diagnosed with a rare spinal tumour in May 2024:
Alma was diagnosed at Raigmore Hospital Children's Unit with hydrocephalus, a condition needing urgent medical treatment. She was flown that same day in the SCAA helicopter from Inverness to the Royal Children's Hospital in Glasgow where she received a potentially life-saving operation from the neurosurgeons there. We'll always be so grateful for the response of the SCAA in getting Alma to where she needed to be for the best medical care, fast.
