Ultra Wales 50 · 21 June 2025

We are Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team, a voluntary emergency service operating in Eryri (Snowdonia) and North West Wales. Our mission is to locate and assist people who are lost, injured, or in distress within the mountain and hard to reach places, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Story

On Saturday 21st June I’ll be taking on one of the toughest challenges of my life (so far) - the Ultra Wales 50, a gruelling 50 mile race through the mountains of Eryri.

With 2900 meters of elevation gain, this ultra-marathon will probably push me to my limits.

I’d like to raise money for Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team - a team I’m a proud member of.

Mountain Rescue is an entirely voluntary emergency service - we’re on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The team is entirely funded by donations, and every pound raised goes directly toward life-saving equipment, training, and operational costs. By supporting my run, you’re helping them continue their vital work - because no one should be left behind in the mountains.

Please donate whatever you can. Your generosity could mean the difference between life and death for someone in need.
