Story
In the UK, there are approximately 3.5 million people living with cancer with someone receiving a diagnosis on average every 90 seconds.
For the last 16-years, Boots and Macmillan Cancer Support have been working in partnership to give everyone, everywhere, the cancer information and support they need. From the moment you or a loved one is diagnosed, through treatment and beyond, we’re here to offer advice and support, every step of the way.
On Thursday 11 September 2025, a team of Boots colleagues from across its stores, support office and supply chain will be lacing up their walking boots to do something mighty for Macmillan. On a mission to raise as much money as possible for those affected by cancer, they’ll be hiking either 6 or 14 miles around their home city of Nottingham.
As many of you know both of my parents died from forms of cancer, Dad 30 years ago and Mom 4 years ago so I have decided to join in this amazing event in their memory, which is on the day before what would have been their 59th wedding anniversary, and drag my fat behind around the 6 mile route.
If anyone is able to sponsor me for this great cause, any donations will be gratefully received
