On the 14th September, my darling husband Lance passed away unexpectedly in Spain. In 2004 we had the misfortune of having a still birth. Unfortunately we wasn’t given the option of a cold cot, which would have allowed us more time with our son Daniel.

In honor of Lance and Daniel, hopefully we will raise the £3000 it costs

to provide a cold cot. This will be given to a hospital, so future families like ours, will get extra time.

The Abi Cooling Cot is a refrigerated unit that allows families to spend more time with their deceased baby than would otherwise be possible. The cooling cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process. The cooling cot is supplied by Abigail's Footsteps in partnership with The Bond Group . We have delivered cots to over 100 hospitals and hospices in the UK and Ireland so far. It is our mission to encourage all bereavement suites in hospitals to have at least two cooling cots.
