Story
Dear family and friends,
Those who know me will know I am a huge foodie, and I have an extremely sweet tooth. Whereby I must have a sweet delicacy after every meal. I have a strong feeling that I picked this habit up from my beloved late baba ji who used to feed me chocolate even after brushing my teeth just before bedtime.
This September, I’m taking on the No Sugar Challenge, which I know will be tough. But having a meaningful goal will keep me focused, motivated, and make the effort all the more worthwhile.
As you are all aware our homeland Punjab is being severely affected with floods. Thousands of homes have been washed away, crops destroyed, livestock lost, and countless families are facing huge financial hardship. Over 1,000 villages have been impacted, more than 11,000 people rescued, and sadly nearly 1,000 lives lost.
What has truly touched my heart is the flooding of the historic Gurdwara Kartarpur in Pakistan’s Punjab—the sacred place where Sri Satguru Nanak Dev Ji spent his final years. Sevadars are working relentlessly to drain he flood water and restore the historical shrine
Previously I have partaken in physical challenges to raise funds for a cause. Today I have decided to give myself a slightly different challenge, in committing to No Sugar Challenge for 30 days from the 1st of September until the 30th of September in aid of raising funds for the Punjab floods.
The funds will directly go to Midlands Langar Seva Society who are actively supporting relief operations in Punjab.

I would appreciate all your support, encouragement and generosity.
