Between the dates 27th March 2026 - 29th March 2026 a large team of volunteers and supporters from Surrey Search and Rescue will be carrying a stretcher for 100 miles across Surrey attempting to do this as a team within 48 hours.

Starting in Hindhead and finishing in Reigate, this large team event will not only show case the brilliant team work and resilience of the volunteers but also some of the skills they are highly trained in to help provide assistance to the local communities of Surrey.

Special challenges will be set along the route for the participants to complete amongst their already tight time frame. Some of these will be able to be chosen by the public so keep a close eye on the event so you can get involved too!

We are doing this in an attempt to raise money for this wonderful charity a lot of us volunteer for. Being a purely voluntary charity we have to raise funds to remain operational as an organisation as well as to recruit and train new intakes, and ensure we have all of the best life saving equipment to hand when needed in an emergency. Through this fundraiser we will be highlighting some of the things we need as a team so you know exactly what your donations will be going towards.

Surrey Search & Rescue is a voluntary specialist search team which assists the emergency services. Primarily to help find missing people we also support in water rescue incidents and wildfires. We are on-call 24 hours a day, with a team of 70+ people and search dogs, to respond across Surrey and surrounding areas.
