I will be abseiling 100ft off the worlds first and only rotating boat lift, the Falkirk Wheel, in aid of Age Scotland on Friday 14th March 2025.

Age Scotland are the Scottish charity for older people.

They work to improve the lives of people over the age of 50 in Scotland and provide a free helpline, support older people’s groups, promote age and dementia-friendly communities, deliver wellbeing programmes, and campaign on behalf of older people.

Their helpline provides impartial and confidential information to older people, their carers and families.

Older people across Scotland are facing unimaginable challenges, financial inequalities, access to health and social care and for many compounded by chronic loneliness. Your support plays a vital role in helping Age Scotland be there for those who need it most. Donations support services like their helpline and friendship line, which provide free and impartial advice to older people, their families and carers and weekly friendship calls to those who are desperately lonely. Without your support they could not be there to answer the hundreds of calls they receive every week from those needing advice and support, and those who are lonely and simply looking for someone to talk to.
