My aim for this year is a variety of challenges and events to raise £25,000 for the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK. It's the UK's leading IBC charity in support, awareness and funding research for this rare type of breast cancer.

Story

I am getting older. I am no longer the 25 year old who could do everything. My knees ache, I groan when I sit in a deep chair, and my hair is getting thinner.

But now I am embracing everything that turning 35 brings with it. That’s why I’m joining forces with Paul's Titheads to raise £25,000 for the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK. This remarkable charity dedicates its resources to raising awareness, educating medical professionals and government leaders, and providing the crucial support that patients deserve. Every donation is a step towards better detection, improved research, and, ultimately, hope for a brighter future.

With the Titheads I will be participating in an endurance fitness challenge, taking on variety of strength training, circuits, cardio and other tests in a single 24 hour period starting 29th August. Let's see what fitness means when you get to your mid-30s.

My challenge takes on an even deeper meaning after my wife was been diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. IBC is a formidable adversary: fast-moving, often misdiagnosed, and all too little understood. For many patients, the battle against IBC begins with a shock, an overwhelming sense of urgency and vulnerability. I have seen firsthand the heartbreak and uncertainty it brings to our lives. Every contribution, every share, and every word of support fuels our determination to bring awareness and transform lives.

Thank you for standing with me. Let’s make change happen—because every effort truly counts.
