Swim to Orkney - Sponsored Swim supporting our Island Swimming Team

In July 2025 we will be sending a team of swimmers to complete at the 2025 Orkney International Island Games. The team of swimmers have worked incredibly hard to qualify for the event and our fundraising is to help cover the costs for the team.

Story

In July 2025, the islands dedicated team of swimmers will embark on an incredible journey to compete at the 2025 Orkney International Island Games.

We are excited to announce our main fundraising initiative, the "Swim to Orkney" - Sponsored Swim supporting our Island Swimming Team. This challenge involves swimming all the 'water sections' of the journey to the games, covering a staggering distance of approximately 48,280 metres from East Cowes to Southampton and then from Scrabster to Strongness on Orkney.

With a team of 10 passionate swimmers—5 male and 5 female (4 male competitors, 5 Female competitors and one very brave male team manager)—we are not only aiming to complete this monumental swim but also seeking recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest completion. We believe that with your support, we can achieve this remarkable feat and inspire others along the way.

Our target is to raise £5,000 GBP in total, which breaks down to £500 per swimmer. However, every contribution counts, and we encourage you to give as generously as you can. Your support will help cover essential costs for our swimmers and ensure they can focus on their training and performance.

Join us in this exciting adventure! We will be streaming parts of our challenge live on our Instagram page so that you can witness our progress first-hand. Follow us here:

Together, let’s make waves for a great cause!
