My lovely wife Sarah, two kids (Lowen, 8 and Romilly, 6) and I will be walking from Porthleven to Gunwalloe Church Cove on the coast path. That’s just over 4.5miles! We’ll need plenty of snacks and I reckon I may end up carrying one of them at some point!

Lead Professional Midwife Advocate, Ailsa Gill is organising this BIG fundraiser. Ailsa, along with myself, and many more staff from the Maternity Unit, will walk the entire 276 miles of Cornish Southwest coastal path over 4 days by taking on different sections!

The money raised will go towards restarting the aromatherapy service, including staff training and resources they need to provide the service for the birthing people of Cornwall.

With your helpful donations, we will be spurred on to keep trekking along the coastal path to reach our target of covering the whole distance of the 276 miles from Bude to Rame.

The walk will take place over 4 days from Fri 6th Sept to Mon 9th Sept 2024, each member of the staff will select the walk and day that suits them best. This will be no mean feat, putting one foot in front of the other to achieve this target of making sure no mile is left uncovered.
