Story

Thank you so much for visiting our Page 💛

Myself, my Mum and four Special Pals have taken on the challenge to walk the Ainsty Bounds , 44 miles in 2 days .

Its a tough Challenge but with lots of giggles and blisters (no doubt) I know we can achieve it together.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust has supported me and my family all my life. I was diagnosed with CF at 3 months old . As well as throwing lots of health challenges my way Cystic Fibrosis has also made me appreciate every single day and taught me not to waste a second !

Due to the Trust funding Cutting edge research and treatments I hold the CF Trust responsible for me having a wonderful childhood , Getting Married, having a family of my own and working a Job I Love.

This challenge is very personal to myself , my family and my friends.

Its EXCITING to think that the younger CF generation and babies born today will live relatively healthy lives with no life limiting complications due to the progression of medication and treatments available.

We want to help others, like others have helped me and my family x

This is Why Tammy, Lyn, Paula , Nicky ,Hayley and Zoe are Walking for Wishes, to Support this Fantastic Charity .

We are a having a Celebration at the finish, 0n the evening of Sunday 17th September at the Lord Collingwood Pub In Poppleton, York. After 6pm ish (depending on how fast we walk) Everyone's welcome ,It would be lovely to see you there if you can make it x

Thank you for your support, Love Lots 💛

Cystic fibrosis is the most common life limiting inherited disease which affects 1 in every 2,500 babies born. It affects the lungs and digestive system, causing severe lung infections and over time Lung damage which results in the shortening of life.

CF causes problems with breathing and the digestive system from a young age. Over years, the lungs become damaged which result in the only option of a lung Transplant to survive.

New treatments and medications are constantly being researched and trialled to enable people with CF to live longer and more fulfilled lives.

Due to CF patients living longer this throws in other health complications and challenges.
