On the 21st of June, I will be lacing up my walking boots to take on the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge 2025, a hike of 100km over two days. This is not just a personal challenge; it's a heartfelt mission to raise funds for the Big Space Cancer Appeal, aimed at establishing a new Cancer Centre right here in Gloucestershire.

Having worked in the Oncology Centre for many years, I know just how much this new modern space will impact patient care. Our community deserves a state-of-the-art space that can provide specialised care for the future.

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a designated Regional Cancer Centre and has provided specialist cancer care for people in our community for more than 60 years supporting hundreds of thousands of local people to receive the best care there is to offer. Many of the current facilities are over 25 years old and a new modern building is needed to care for future generations.
