Story
This July, I'm taking part in the BHS Rideathon because my adventures with Larry would be non-existent without all the amazing maintained routes we frequent!
Being outdoors gives us the chance to get fresh air and enjoy the countryside together. Those moments on bridleways and tracks help us relax, build confidence and feel safe away from traffic.
But it is getting harder to take that freedom for granted. Gates seize up or are impossible to open from the saddle. Bridleways become so overgrown that they are no longer passable. Routes we once used easily are suddenly out of reach, meaning fewer safe places to ride and enjoy time with our horses.
I am riding 50km or more this July to help change that. The money I raise will help keep off-road routes open, safe and accessible — not just for horses and riders, but for everyone who values access to the countryside.
If you can support me, thank you. Every donation helps protect these routes, so we do not lose the simple pleasure of being outside with our horses.
