Story

🌍 Move for Mental Health – World Mental Health Day 2025 🌍

On 10th October 2025, as part of Combined Charity’s Move for Mental Health campaign, a small group of friends and colleagues from North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare, Restorative Justice Staffordshire and Staffordshire’s Veteran community will be taking on a huge (for some of us!) challenge: walking 28.8 miles across North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent in a single day.

We’re doing this to:

✨ Raise awareness of mental health and the support available in our communities

✨ Raise vital funds to help improve and expand these services

✨ Support our own wellbeing by staying active, connected, and positive

The long training walks have already given us (Laura, Nicola, Niamh, Michelle and Michael) the chance to keep moving, spend time together, and resist the temptation to hibernate as autumn sets in. We know just how much of a difference staying active makes to our mental health—and now we want to use this challenge to make a difference for others too.

Every single donation, big or small, will not only support a fantastic cause but also give us the motivation we need to keep going when our legs get tired and our feet start to ache.

💚 Thank you for helping us move for mental health!
