Story
On 10 August 2026, a powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, with its epicentre near San José del Palmar, Chocó. The earthquake caused widespread damage across Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Risaralda and Caldas, affecting homes, hospitals, schools, roads and vital infrastructure.
Thousands of people have been affected, with lives lost, many injured, and families facing damaged or destroyed homes. Rescue and relief teams are working tirelessly to reach affected communities, while aftershocks and damaged infrastructure continue to make the emergency response challenging.
Your donation can help provide urgent support where it is needed most. Funds raised through this fundraiser will support local organisations delivering emergency medical care, search and rescue assistance, temporary shelter, food, clean water, hygiene supplies and other essential services.
