Story
To mark Owen’s significant birthday, a number of us - me along with our “children” and grandchildren- are joining him on the MS walk in Glasgow on Saturday 13 September! Most of us will be keeping Owen company in walking 5k but Andrew is aiming to complete 20 k
As you will probably know, Owen’s life has been significantly impacted by MS. Not so many years ago, he was able to run the 96 miles of the West Highland Way! Now, walking 5k is an achievement for him.
MS is an unpredictable and incurable condition that affects people's nervous systems. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, bringing a range of symptoms which can include sight loss, incontinence, pain , fatigue and mobility problems. No-one with MS can be sure when or how it will affect them next.
Let's hope it Owen is able to complete the walk in September. At least there will be plenty of us to carry him over the finish line if he can’t quite make it!
Any donation you chose to make will go towards research into MS which currently affects over 17,000 people in Scotland .
God bless you for your generosity. 🙏😀
