Story
NorthStandard is proud to have supported the OSCAR Campaign over a number of years and to once again be taking to the water in 2026. As a regular supporter of the event, our participation reflects NorthStandard's commitment to giving back to the communities we serve and to supporting a cause that has had a profound impact on countless families. Phil Parry, Chairman of Spinnaker and founder of the OSCAR Campaign, established the initiative after his son Oscar received life-saving treatment at GOSH following a long battle with leukaemia. Today, Oscar's story stands as a powerful reminder of the importance of medical research and innovation, and of the difference the shipping community can make when it comes together behind a common cause.
This year, colleagues from across NorthStandard will once again be representing the Club at the OSCAR Dragon Boat Race in London, helping to raise funds for pioneering research into childhood cancers, blood and immune disorders, and the development of GOSH's new Children's Cancer Centre. Whether competing on the water, supporting through fundraising, or cheering from the sidelines, we are delighted to play our part in a campaign that continues to transform young lives.
