Story
Hazel Smith, Louise Smith and Olivia Smith (Team Smith) are running for Team Toby at the Wigan 10k and Family Mile and the Warrington 10k!
Read below their story:
Hazel Smith - 'Team Smith are running for Team Toby! This is Hazel's first run in nearly 5 years having suffered an ankle injury. She knew she had to dust off to the running shoes when the opportunity arose to raise money for a charity very close to her heart.'
Olivia - ‘I am a 10yr old who is about to do her 8th family mile. I love to help important charities that mean something to me. I want to run for Toby because I know him and love him and want him to have the best life possible 💚.’

TEAM TOBY is a ' CureDM Together Campaign' run by the Cartwright family in Wigan. The aim is to use their experience to help raise awareness of Myotonic Dystrophy, as well as funds for support and research.
Toby was diagnosed with CDM at 3 weeks old, subsequently mum Becky was diagnosed with DM1.
Toby is the happiest little boy who faces every challenge in his own way, with his adorable smile and a cheeky laugh. He is not defined by his condition and instead makes his own rules and way in life.
The family is working hard to raise funds and awareness for this condition and this page is a record of fundraisers and achievements.
You can support Team Toby by donating directly to the fundraising page, attending events, or setting up your own event or fundraising activity - THANK YOU!
Team Toby
