Story

Toby's amazing Nannie, Zoey is doing a 15,000ft tandem skydive this summer for Team Toby!

Read her story below:

I’m doing this to raise awareness and funds for Myotonic Dystrophy. My grandson Toby was diagnosed at 3 weeks old and my daughter in law a few months after.

Toby is a huge inspiration to me, he has such spirit and determination and always finds ways to do what seems the impossible. The Toby way. He lives life with the biggest smile, the loudest laugh and with so much love.

I’m actually a bit scared of heights and wanted to do something to put me out of my own comfort zone. I’ve ran various distances (half’s and metric marathon) so thought it’s time to go big for Toby my gorgeous grandson 💚 and I hope they can find a cure to help all those fighting Myotonic Dystrophy.

Toby was diagnosed with CDM at 3 weeks old, subsequently mum Becky was diagnosed with DM1.

Toby is the happiest little boy who faces every challenge in his own way, with his adorable smile and a cheeky laugh. He is not defined by his condition and instead makes his own rules and way in life.

The family is working hard to raise funds and awareness for this condition and this page is a record of fundraisers and achievements.

You can support Team Toby by donating directly to the fundraising page, attending events, or setting up your own event or fundraising activity - THANK YOU!
