Story
In October 2024, we lost Dr. Paul Lowe — an award-winning photojournalist, educator, and mentor who helped shape a global community of visual storytellers. From Sarajevo to Kigali, from Gaza to Grozny, Paul bore witness to history, and taught others to do the same with courage and care.
He believed in journalism as a force for justice and supported young voices from underrepresented regions. He was also a dedicated endurance athlete who found healing in movement and community.
The Paul Lowe Challenge unites journalism, education, and sport to honor his legacy. Through global rides, runs, and swims, we raise funds for journalism scholarships and support for journalists facing trauma and PTSD.
Join us in carrying forward Paul’s mission, to tell the stories that matter and to care for those who tell them.
