Story
Mabli the Sprollie dog will be running the entire distance from John O'Groats to Lands End. I will be her support team - me and 'groucho' the e-bike. It should take us about 5 weeks in total. We'll be staying at bunk houses, campsites and camping wild along the way. Updates on Facebook, here and the blog on my website tutleymutleytextiles.com
It's all about the Sprollie!
Next year is Woodcraft Folk's 100th Anniversary. I'm raising money to help Exeter District celebrate in style - and go to 100camp. Any money which we can't spend on the purpose of this fundraising, or any surplus funds left over, will be used for Woodcraft Folk’s other charitable work. I have to put the latter in as a disclaimer, but taking an entire district to an International Camp is an expensive business!
I am also one of the leaders of Wray Valley Elfins and Woodchips who meet once a week in termtimes for fun and games in Moretonhampstead.
At Woodcraft Folk we believe passionately in equality and co-operation: everyone is welcome to join our groups. Our aim is to have great fun, but also to try to develop children’s self-confidence and build their awareness of society around them.
Through our activities, outings and camps we help our members to understand important issues like the environment, world debt and global conflict, to develop activities focused on sustainable development, and to encourage children to think, hoping that they will help build a peaceful, fairer world.
