Story
You many know that I lost my lovely mum Linda to breast cancer over 16 years ago. Maybe you knew her too so you'll know I'm not exaggerating when I say that she was a wonderful and inspiring woman. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and miss her in my life.
I've decided to do Breast Cancer UKs 30-day Challenge this October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023 but most importantly to do something that will make me feel great while remembering my mum.
I can safely say that mum probably wouldn't have been up for a yoga challenge. I can just imagine her reaction now...She preferred to put all her energy into her friendships and enjoying life with people she loved.
But for me, having worked in breast cancer for some time, I'm pretty hooked on the idea of doing what I can to reduce my risk and to spread the word.
So I've picked yoga because I enjoy it but I don't do enough of it. This challenge will be tough. Doing yoga every day will take some motivation and any support you can give me will certainly help keep me going and if you help me raise money it'll go straight towards my favourite charity Breast Cancer UK.
Thank you.
