Nobody thinks it will happen to them until it does.. Tragically back in May 2022 travelling home after a lovely weekend in the lakes doing what they loved (eating, cycling, walking & being together) a lady fell asleep on the A66 single carriageway and caused a collision which proved fatal to my mother & father in law, Chris & Steve.

Sadly & tragically we lost Chris at the scene and Steve 3 weeks later after we were told he would not recover from his injuries.. our whole families lives changed forever.

The reason I’d like to raise some money for this service is that those 3 weeks of hope for us & huge fight on Steves part would not have been possible if the Great North Air ambulance had not assisted in air lifting him to James Cooke and it would be my way of saying thanks. So me & some of my lovely friends will be walking 4 peaks in March in the moonlight.
