Story
Over the last few years you have all been incredibly generous in supporting the Holderness family as we have completed marathons in Berlin, Cape Town, Chicago, London and New York to raise money for Crohn's Disease, Breast Cancer and Alzheimer's (charities very close to our hearts and we know to many of yours as well). Your generosity so far has raised over £75,000 - incredibly humbling for us and your generosity has been the motivator as we have trained for each event as well as during each of our marathons.
We are now approaching our last two marathons, Tokyo in March and Boston in April, after which I for one will definitely be hanging up my marathon trainers - this time I mean it!
This time we will be raising money for Anaphylaxis UK (formerly Anaphylaxis Campaign) which is the only UK-wide charity operating solely for the growing numbers of people at risk of serious allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.
As some of you know, our daughter, Henrietta (like so many others) has had to cope on a daily basis with the fear that what she is eating may lead to an anaphylactic reaction which if not treated could be fatal.
For over 25 years, Anaphylaxis UK have been striving for a brighter future for the allergic community. The charity offers information and support for individuals and their families, for businesses and for schools and other places of education. Anaphylaxis UK provides resources for people with serious allergies that can be trusted and are both scientifically based and factually accurate.
Many, many thanks in advance for your support.
