Story
A day of live house music celebrating the life of Ashleen Bateman who sadly passed away in 2021 after a short battle with cancer, all in aid of raising vital funds for Mountbatten Hampshire.
Ashleen sadly passed away in July 2021 after a short battle with incurable metastatic cancer of the spine and liver.
Ash had a huge passion for house music and shortly before her passing she organised a live house music festival in her name to fulfil a life-long dream. She absolutely smashed her first ever live DJ set all in aid of raising money for charity.
This festival continues her legacy of raising vital funds for people affected by all types of cancer and requiring end-of-life support with over £20,000 raised since 2021.
When patients and families first come to Mountbatten they often say, ‘now we don’t have to worry.’ You can see the relief in their eyes when they realise they will not have to cope with dying or caring and grieving for their loved one alone.
When you donate, your gift will be used to fund:
-24/7 care and support for people at home or in our inpatient unit.
-bereavement support for anyone who needs it.
-rehabilitation & enablement services to help those with life-limiting conditions live as well as they can.
-specialist medical equipment.
