Daniel and Daniela’s fundraiser for The Brompton Fountain

Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
Please support us in running the Brighton Marathon 2025 in memory of our beautiful daughter Maisie. Maisie passed away in the care of the Paediatric ICU at The Royal Brompton hospital in 2019. Our aim is to raise money for the Brompton Fountain, being the children’s charity for the Hospital, to help towards the care of those precious children and in support of their families.
It's something we've wanted to do for a long time and it's taken a monumental amount of strength to work ourselves towards this.
Maisie was born with a congenital heart defect, a defect that is identified in approximately 50% of cases, and with the required arrangements for birth and planned surgery in place, one that carries with it a 96% chance of surviving to live a perfectly normal and healthy life. Sadly Maisie's heart defect was not identified and very quickly progressed to an emergency situation. After 3 weeks at home and 4 weeks at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London having undergone numerous surgeries and heartbreaking struggles we lost our little girl.
We've always intended to raise awareness where we could, and fund raise for this incredible cause, but in all honesty, just returning to life as a normal functional human being has taken us a few years. We've made leaps and bounds and I'm so proud of us to say now we've got it together and we want to make a difference.
Please support us, both in memory of our baby girl, and to help struggling kids and their families, by donating to our just giving page for the Brompton Fountain. The Brompton fountain is the children's charity so that's the support you will be giving. We are part of the Brompton Fountain Team for the Brighton marathon 2025, just 74 days away!
Please help us make a difference.
