We are fundraising to support Paul Dennington’s ‘March Thru Life’ for Prostate Cancer UK. Our Store Manager Sarah will be joining Paul on his Chester leg of the walk around the city walls on the 19th August!

This is Paul’s Story:

“Prostate Cancer is now the number one diagnosed cancer in UK. 1 in 8 men (1 in 4 if you are black or have family history) are diagnosed in their lifetime. That’s 50,000+ mean every year - fathers, husbands, brothers, close friends etc - of whom, like me are caught too late to be cured. That is why I’m taking on this huge challenge 4.5 years in to a 5-8 year prognosis. Aged 59 and with only circa 10% of my testosterone levels due to my daily treatment this will be extremely tough - but NOT because of my cancer! With the amazing support of my wife in particular, family and friends I want to raise awareness of the cancer, it’s risks, drive testing and raise valuable funds to support those going through this terrible experience, to create a screening program and for vital research. I want to help prevent other men and their families from going through the same journey as mine and to give hope to those who already are.”
