Story
Coming out of a season of Thanksgiving, family, friends, food, and community, I can't help but reflect on the things that matter most. It's making memories with the people I love.
So many people have been robbed of making more of these memories due to a cancer diagnosis.
Cancer is absolutely gut-wrenching regardless of WHO it impacts...but what I can't imagine is a child having to go through this - yet there are thousands of children who have to navigate a cancer diagnosis every single day.
Loma Linda University Children's Hospital has been at the forefront of pediatric cancer care, particularly for leukemia and other childhood cancers, and together for decades.
Having been an employee at LLUH for 6 years and more recently a patient, I know firsthand about the amazing care we provide across the board. Our clinicians provide world-class care and look at ALL patients as WHOLE people. Our patients are people, not just a vessel to further research.
Through your support, we can improve access to the most advanced, life-saving treatments for children in our community facing cancer diagnoses. Join us in this vital mission to support young patients and their families during their most challenging times.
Thank you for considering joining our efforts this GivingTuesday!
With Love and Gratitude,
Rathyna + Mark
