Story

Hi! I’m Dan, I’m a Police Officer at Staffordshire Police and I’d love it if you could help me raise funds and awareness as I organise and complete ‘The Long Blue Walk’ for two amazing charities;

This donation page is specific to Andys Man Club

Please take your time to learn about the challenge and why I’m doing it. There are three important things I’d love you help with:

- Please follow my page ‘the long blue walk’ on Facebook and Instagram and share when you can to spread awareness.

- Please donate, however small, anything is appreciated!

- Learn how you can take part in the challenge too!

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge is one of ‘Everesting’. Where Stafford castle have kindly allowed me to use their venue.. I will ascend the hill (with help) in full police uniform until the height of Mount Everest is achieved!

That’s a whopping 29,090 ft! So is 290 times up and down the steep castle drive in just two days on the 20th and 21st September 2025.

I plan this to be a team event where anyone can turn up do some walking - even if you go up the drive once, every little helps and we can complete the challenge as a community.

Over time I will explain in more detail how you can take part but for now, please reach out to me direct if you’re interested!

WHY?

To raise much needs funds and awareness for two incredibly deserving charities.

Andy’s Man Club is men’s suicide prevention charity that offers free peer to peer support groups in Stafford as well as across the UK and online. They aim to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help them through the power of conversation. Suicide and self harm amongst men is something I sadly see all too often in my role and it something I am passionate about promoting that #itsoktotalk

Thank you for your support! 🙌🏻
