In memory of our mum Pamela Varley who passed away on 27th August 2023 aged 74 years.

Our mum was a beautiful, selfless person and will be remembered for her generosity and her infectious giggle. She was a big part of our family and was well known within the local community not only as a resident but through her hairdressing business that she had for 45 years until she became ill.

Mum had battled a long illness after being diagnosed with Wegners Granulomatous 23 years ago. Through her battle she was part of a revolutionary drugs trial which allowed for a drug to be approved in the treatment of this illness giving her a normal life for the last 23 years.

Unfortunately all treatments eventually stop being accepted by the body and the illness eventually beat her. We would like to ask as a family that donations are given instead of flowers to allow this research into the illness to continue, most of which is privately funded due to no NHS allocated funding.

Our mum will be sadly missed by not just us but everyone whose lives she had entered.

The funeral will be held at 10.30 14th September 2023 at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland.
