Story
Tragically, on Monday 22nd April, our beautiful, fiery, resilient, absolutely hilarious and admirable family member Ada lost her 7 year battle to Cancer.
I first met Ada in 2006, when my Sister, Kelly, fell in love with her now Husband, Sam. During these 18 years our families have formed as one - making cherished memories together along the way whilst enjoying family holidays, days out, weekends away, birthdays, weddings, christenings and most importantly the births of our beautiful little treasures: Teddy, Mylee, Beatrice, Bertie and Freddie.
We have all lost an enormous part of our family; Ada lit up any room that she entered and blessed this earth with her infectious presence. She was a fine example of a true woman, who held her heart on her sleeve, put her family first and was a true fighter until the very end.
She will be remembered as a tender Mum to Sam, Sonny, Shanel and Spenser. An incredible Mother in Law to Kelly and George. A compassionate and loving Nanny to Teddy, Mylee, Beatrice, Bertie and Freddie and a loyal friend and family member to the many that were lucky enough to know her.
When visiting Ada last, we sat in the hospice garden and she told me how she was so glad that she bit the bullet and took part in a charity skydive back in 2017 in memory of her late partner, Cuttsy, who also tragically lost his battle to Cancer. I told her that I'd always wanted to do a skydive and it was one of my biggest wishes to tick off my bucket list one day. She told me to go ahead and do it, that it was one of the best moments of her life and even better if you can raise funds for an incredible cause along the way.
This moment with Ada has stuck with me, so I am now making my wish come true in honour of her - I will be partaking in my skydive on Sunday 4th August at Beccles Airfield and my incredible cause to raise funds for is St Nicholas Hospice.
The everlasting love and loyalty they have shown Ada and our family is nothing short of admirable; their team truly serve end of life care to the highest form and they deserve every piece of recognition that they get.
I would be so grateful for any form of support during the lead up to the big day. Whether that be through donations, sharing our story, spreading the word or just simply having us in your thoughts at this time.
Donations will help St Nic's provide unforgettable experiences of joy and laughter for patients and their families receiving end of life care. Special moments and memorable experiences shared with family and friends are something that they strive to provide however they can.
Thank you for taking the time to read our family's story. Wish me luck! 🪂
Lots of love,
Tia x
