From 25-27th June 2027, I will be taking part in Le Vélo Classic, cycling the path of pros in support of Prostate Cancer UK. Following the route of the first 3, UK stages of the 2027 Tour de France. In total, it will cover around 630km's with over 7500m of climbing. I have taken on some long rides in the past but nothing even remotely close to this.

Riding for prostate cancer is an absolute no brainer for me. Several years ago, this disease took my uncle far too soon (and why I fundraised a previous event for Macmillan). Since then, both my Dad and his other brother have been diagnosed with it too. The suffering I will endure on this ride will be nothing compared to that experience by them, and thousands like them. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with 1 in 8 men affected, and the risk increases if you’re over 50, if you’re Black, or if someone in your family has it (It's fair to say my brothers and I are probably staring down the barrel of it). That's thousands of dads, brothers, partners, and mates. But it doesn't have to be this way. If you are able, the money you donate will help fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments to help men live long and live well.

Prostate Cancer UK invests millions into lifesaving research and provides remarkable support to both men and their families as they navigate this disease.

Those of you that know me, know that doing something like 'Mo-vember' is pointless as my ability to grow facial hair is virtually non-existant - every time I need a shave I just stick my head out of the car window and...Voila, it's gone! This is a far more apt challenge for me to take on, and your support will be greatly appreciated. Anything you can spare, no matter how small will make a real difference to many.
