Farmers Walk Kettle bell challenge · 13 September 2025

There is currently no cure for Alzheimers, Dementia or Parkinsons. At NTU we bring together a multi-disciplinary team of experts to explore new and innovative methods to bring about change in the prognosis of these destructive diseases.

Story

There is no cure for Alzheimers, Dementia or Parkinsons.

Three gym buddies, their trainer and some much needed support are planning to do a ‘Farmers carry’ walking relay carrying two 24kg kettle bells, 10 kilometres, for the above charity.

The route is from our gym ‘The Fitness Barn’ near Clothall village via Wellington and Bygrave to Ashwell. Thankfully it is mostly on footpaths.

We have all been affected by these incurable diseases either personally or with close family members and we especially want to think of Fergus, Mirella and Doreen.

Any size of donation would be greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance and ask you to pass on these details to anyone you think might be able to help.

Best wishes

Tim, Paul, Bob, Jacqui
