Seven months ago I lost my wife - the love of my life

During the last two weeks of her journey, Ashgate Hospice became our second home. In what was the most painful time our family has ever faced, the staff there gave us something priceless, comfort, dignity, compassion and unwavering support.

They didn’t just care for my wife - they cared for all of us. Every nurse, doctor, and volunteer treated her with such gentleness and respect, and they guided my family through those final days with patience, kindness and understanding. I will be forever grateful to Ashgate Hospice for this.

This walk is in memory of my wife, and in honour of the incredible people at Ashgate Hospice who helped her spend her final days surrounded by love and peace. By raising funds, I hope to give something back so that other families facing the same heartbreak can receive the same extraordinary care that we did.
