On April 2 2026 I was hit by a car whilst out exercising in a quiet village close to home, my amazing event horse Killossery Kaptain (Benny) was killed. He was the most wonderful, kind horse that I was looking forward to learning from as we went up the levels eventing together.

I am hoping to raise awareness of road safety and stop what happened to us happening to someone else. It was devastating and should not have happened.

I cannot thank the BHS enough for the support they have given me, and my family, if only I had known about the Dead Slow Campaign the BHS run, it makes it easy to report cars that frighten riders on the roads. Through fund raising and the race I hope that I can make more riders aware of the help they can get.
