Story
It’s official, we’re running the 2026 London Marathon for Cardiomyopathy UK.
This April, my brother-in-law, Scott and I are taking on the London Marathon to raise money for a charity which has suddenly become very close to our hearts – Cardiomyopathy UK.
In March 2025, my daughter, Rory was born with severe Dilated Cardiomyopathy, an incurable condition which affects the heart muscle. Towards the end of last year, Rory become the youngest person in history to undergo a heart transplant via XVIVO and is now hopefully on the road to finally coming home at some point in 2026. It’s been an overwhelming journey for everyone close to Rory and words cannot begin to thank the family which has given Rory a second chance in life through the donation of her new heart.
By running 26.2 miles, we want to help the Cardiomyopathy charity continue their incredible work towards research – offering information, support, and hope to families like ours.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference.
If you’re able to support us, we’d be so grateful – and if you can make it on the day, we’ll see you at the finish line for a much deserved pint 🍺.
Thank you so much,
Toby & Scott ❤️
