Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle that affects around 1 in 250 people in the UK—babies, children, and adults alike. Too often it goes unnoticed, and tragically, it is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in under-35s.

We are the specialist national charity dedicated to ensuring that no one faces cardiomyopathy alone. Our vision is simple but powerful: that everyone affected should have the chance to live a long and fulfilling life.

This year, we are proud to welcome our incredible TCS London Marathon 2026 team, a group of inspiring runners who are taking on the epic 26.2-mile challenge to support families, raise awareness, and fund vital work. Each step they take brings us closer to a future where cardiomyopathy is better understood, diagnosed sooner, and supported.
