Story
Hello,
I am a firefighter with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, undertaking two significant endurance challenges to raise funds for SARAID, a UK-based international search and rescue charity. SARAID provides critical aid to communities affected by disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and humanitarian crises worldwide. Their volunteers deliver essential medical care, rescue support, and hope where it is most needed.
To support this vital mission, I will be participating in the Backyard Ultra from 14th to 16th August, running 6.7 km every hour on the hour for as long as possible. Following this, I will join the Ring O’ Fire Race from 4th to 6th September, completing a personal marathon of 65 miles as part of a team effort covering 130 miles.
In addition to raising funds for SARAID, I am also supporting The Fire Fighters Charity, which assists firefighters and their families, and Operation Florian, which provides firefighting equipment and training to developing countries.
These challenges extend beyond my professional duties as a firefighter; they represent a personal commitment to making a difference. I am aiming to raise £250 to contribute towards these causes.
Your support is crucial—whether through donations or by sharing this fundraising page—to help sustain the life-saving work of these organizations. Thank you for considering contributing to this important cause.
