Story
My Mum was recently transferred to St Catherine’s Hospice in Pease Pottage, and in a very short space of time we've seen just how special a place it is.
At what is an incredibly difficult time for our family, St Catherine’s has provided such a warm, peaceful and caring environment. The hospice itself is a beautiful building, but what really makes it special are the people. Every member of staff we’ve met has been incredibly friendly, compassionate and supportive, and the care they provide to patients and their families is truly amazing.
What we hadn’t realised before Mum came here was just how much St Catherine’s relies on the generosity of others to continue providing this care. They currently only have enough funding to open around half of the beds within their hospice, meaning fundraising and donations are incredibly important.
I’ve decided to run the Barns Green half marathon on the 27th of September to help raise money for St Catherine’s – to give something back to an organisation that is doing so much for my Mum, our family, and so many other families going through incredibly difficult times.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean a huge amount to me and will help St Catherine’s continue providing the care, kindness and dignity that makes such a difference when people need it most.
Thank you so much for your support. ❤️
