Yorkshire Three Peaks · 30 May 2026

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS FT Charitable Fund is a separate charity working with the NHS in Stockton and Hartlepool. Donations and funds are used to enhance those aspects of patient care and staff development which are not funded by the NHS. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Story

We’re taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for the Haematology Ward at North Tees Hospital after our close friend Chey was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma at just 28.

It’s been a huge shock for Chey and for everyone around her. At 28, cancer is the last thing anyone expects to be facing, and the last few weeks have brought a lot of uncertainty. It’s been an incredibly difficult time, and seeing someone so young go through something like this has been hard for all of us.

Throughout it all, the care Chey has received from the Haematology Ward at North Tees Hospital has meant so much. The staff have gone above and beyond for her, and we really can’t fault the care and support they’ve given. They’ve shown so much kindness, patience and compassion, and the way they’ve looked after Chey during such a difficult time has made a real difference to her and to the people around her.

We wanted to do something to say thank you for everything they’ve done, and to give something back to the ward that has supported Chey so well. Taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks felt like a challenge worth doing for a cause that now means so much to us.

By donating, you’ll be helping support the Haematology Ward at North Tees Hospital and the work they do for patients and families going through incredibly difficult times. If this fundraiser can help in any way, whether that’s through equipment, patient support, or helping improve care on the ward, then it will be worth every step.

Please donate if you can. Any amount, no matter how big or small, will mean a lot. If you can’t donate, sharing this page would also really help.

Thank you so much for reading, for supporting Chey, and for supporting such an important ward.
