Story
Me and my Dad are preparing for a trip to Ukraine this September.
We’ll be driving a vehicle (old ambulance) over to be used in medical emergencies, packed full of essential supplies and provisions for those in need. We will be leaving this with ICMDA (International Christian Medical and Dental Association) for distribution.
While we’re there, we’ll also be spending time with the local church (connected to Christ central)—encouraging one another and standing together in faith.
To make this possible, we’re looking to raise £8,000 to cover the vehicle and supplies (we are covering our own travel and accommodation costs) If you’d like to stand with us, we’d really appreciate your support
Mighty Convoy is a non-profit with no paid staff (UK company no. 14093179). Our key partners are a UK registered charity, the International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA) and their sister organisation, the Christian Medical Association Ukraine (CMAU) in Lviv. Everyone involved is a volunteer, including all our drivers, who not only volunteer their time but also pay for their own expenses and flights home.
We buy and drive ambulances and pick-up trucks and fill them with aid to take to Lviv, Ukraine. We operate a pay-to-drive model, otherwise we don’t have the funds to buy vehicles. It costs approx. £8,000 to buy a second-hand pick-up truck or ambulance, which includes the costs of fuel, channel crossing, insurance etc. to get them to Ukraine. Our volunteer drivers need to cover this cost by fundraising through their own networks.
We would love your support in this great cause so by a little or a lot please do stand with us.
