Story
I'm taking part in the Shirley Parsons London to Paris cycle event on the 6th August, in order to raise money for Leukaemia UK after Thomas Paterson - the 15-year-old son of their colleague Shona - was diagnosed with Leukaemia last year. Over the past year, Thomas has shown remarkable resilience throughout his treatment and is now on a steady road to recovery.
In support of Thomas, his family, and the thousands of others affected by blood cancer, Shirley Parsons have chosen Leukaemia UK as their charity partner this year. Together, we are aiming to raise £21,000 to help fund vital research, improve treatments, and ultimately save lives.
This challenge is one of Shirley Parsons key fundraising events, and all donations made here will also contribute to the main Shirley Parsons fundraising total for Leukaemia UK.
The goal is to raise £750 as that can then be generously matched by the Wates Family Enterprise Trust.
