In March 2025, Thomas Paterson - the 15-year-old son of our colleague Shona - was diagnosed with Leukaemia. Over the past year, Thomas has shown remarkable resilience throughout his treatment and is now on a steady road to recovery.

In support of Thomas, his family, and the thousands of others affected by blood cancer, Shirley Parsons has chosen Leukaemia UK as our charity partner this year. Together, we are aiming to raise £21,000 to help fund vital research, improve treatments, and ultimately save lives.

The London to Paris Bike Challenge is a multi‑day endurance event, covering extensive distances across the UK and France. Riders will take on hours of cycling each day, pushing themselves physically while coming together to support Leukaemia UK’s vital work. This challenge is one of our key fundraising events, and all donations made here will also contribute to our main Shirley Parsons fundraising total for Leukaemia UK.
