I am going to be running the Great North Run on behalf of Ashgate Hospice in loving memory of my friend Ashleigh, who unfortunately passed away in April 2024 at the age of 25. Ashgate Hospice provided amazing care for Ashleigh and her family and supported them through the most challenging of times. As Ashgate is largely funded by donations, I want to raise awareness of the incredible work they do and support them so that they can continue to help people and families who need it.

I have a passion for running and have always wanted to complete the GNR and therefore believe it is really important to combine this with raising awareness for an amazing charity like Ashgate. I feel privileged to be able represent Ashgate Hospice in memory of Ashleigh by doing something I love. Thank you so much to everyone who has taken time out of their day to donate.
