Story
I am hugely excited and honoured to be joining this fundraising event with the Professional Cricketers’ Trust. Having taken part in the Three Peaks challenge with the trust several years ago (pic below at a very cold Ben Nevis summit!), I can’t wait to get back out there for another physical challenge and adventure, meeting new people and hopefully some familiar faces!
The trust does incredible work, supporting individuals and their families when they need it most.
Most recently, the trust provided critical support & service to Syd Lawrence and his family. A matter of weeks ago, Syd sadly passed away so I will be taking part in this challenge in memory of Syd (who I had the pleasure of meeting several times during my time at Gloucestershire, and even played against him in a competitive league match) and to help ensure the trust are able to provide similar to support to others in the future.
To anyone that is able to provide support or a donation via. this page, thank you 🙏.

The players’ charity helped fund a support chair and renovations to the family home. Calling MND the ‘sadistic disease’ and the day of diagnosis ‘the worst day of my life’, Lawrence appreciates the work of the Trust: “Seeing the stories the Trust have told in recent years makes you realise you never know what is around the corner, and that’s why the charity is su
