A few years ago, I lost my grandad to cancer.

Even now, it’s hard to put into words how much that loss changed our family.

Cancer doesn’t just take lives; it takes time, memories, and futures. It affects not only the person fighting it, but everyone who loves them. Watching someone you care about go through that is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

I’m fundraising to support cancer research and care, in the hope that fewer families have to experience this kind of loss. Every donation, no matter how small, helps fund research, treatment, and support for those who need it most.

I’d always said to myself I’d love to run a marathon and to have the opportunity to raise money towards something meaningful makes it even more worthwhile.
