Story
Our inspiration and motivation to join the Guide Dogs UK charity comes from a personal family reason very close to our hearts.
We both adore dogs, already having 2 Border Terriers of our own, so we jumped at the chance when a targeted social media ad popped up on our social media feed for Puppy Raiser's needed in our local area! In March 2023 we welcomed our very first Guide Dog puppy into our family, a yellow Labrador called Lailah.
Our role as Puppy Raisers is to introduce Lailah to as many new environments, noises, situations as we’re able to. With a very strong personal family reason for wanting to volunteer for the charity, this has pushed us along through the happy, proud, and admittedly sometimes challenging moments of puppy raising.
We have really seen how vital donations are to raise, train and support the future life-changers. So we’ve decided that we would start fundraising so we can ‘Name a Puppy’. This would allow us to name a pup and be at the heart of a Guide Dog puppy’s journey.
Thank you for supporting our fundraising!

Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
