Tom & Nat's Firewalk for St John Ambulance Cymru

Firewalk for St John Ambulance Cymru · 27 October 2024 ·
This autumn, we'll be walking barefoot over hot coals to raise vital funds for St John Ambulance Cymru, the first aid charity for Wales.
We've never done anything like this before, so this will be a challenge for us both. However, it will take an extra amount of bravery from Natalie who has pyrophobia and has only recently been able to light a candle.
"I never used a bunson burner at school and have a vivid memory of refusing to blow out my birthday candles at the age of 2. But I want to do something that will make me face my fears and benefit everyone at St Johns Ambulance Cymru that has already saved so many people's lives. I can do this for them. This is nothing compared to what they do." - Nat
In contrast, Tom has had to fight fire from a young age, courtesy of his siblings. He enjoys any opportunity to use his firepit and BBQ and was a fire marshal at Gilwern School.
"I have always had a fascination with fire, ever since I was a kid. I can't wait for the challenge to walk over it!" - Tom
